Maggie Hamilton author and social researcher welcomes you
.
While we face many personal and global challenges, it's important we push aside our fear and uncertainty, and actively envisage the future we dream of for our boys and girls, our families, communities, and workplaces. As I travel around Australia and New Zealand, and wider afield, I'm blown away by the number of people thinking and living differently. It's very inspiring!
Talking of which, you may be interested in Secret Girls' Business * just out. It's a fun funky full colour gift book for girls filled with fab ideas and projects from craft, vintage and recycling, to tips for everyday life. Designed to give their creativity and self-confidence a nudge, this new book provides parents with something genuinely fun and positive for girls, alongside What's Happening to Our Girls? and the
companion book What's Happening to Our Boys?
You may also be interested in the wonderful Secret Girls' World groups springing up in schools and communities, designed to knit people back
together again. Here women volunteers are getting together to girls in fun and engaging groups to teach them to knit, and to then knit together for charity . If you want to know more, then go to www.secretgirlsworld.org
